You do yourself a disservice, I think, downplaying the influence you have on others, but I think the fact that you do not think yourself so important is part of what makes you someone the rest are so keen to look to for guidance. Perhaps we ought to leave the word 'leader' out of it, if you feel so. We can simply call ourselves "allies," instead. Friends?

[She's so glad he can't hear the shy laughter that she seems to often get when someone talks about her leadership qualities. Or rather, the ones she's pretty sure she lacks. There's not a thing about her that screams leader. Or even remotely implies it. But maybe Halsin's onto something. The people who don't want to be leaders tend to often be the best ones for the position.]
